Everyone's NDIS goals look different, for some it's walking to the letterbox unassisted, for others it's building the strength to get back to a sport they love.

NDIS

At Physio K, our role is to meet you wherever that goal is and build a clear, practical path toward it. We work with NDIS participants of all ages and plan types, bringing hands-on physiotherapy expertise into the parts of life where it actually matters: home, school, the gym, or our clinic.

Understanding your NDIS funding

Not sure how your plan works? Here's the short version, based on the three ways NDIS funding can be managed:

  • Self-managed — you manage your own funding, pay providers directly, and keep your own records.

  • Plan-managed — a plan manager handles payments and bookkeeping on your behalf, while you choose your own providers.

  • NDIA-managed — the NDIA pays providers directly, and you're limited to providers registered with the NDIS.

Whichever category you fall under, Physio K handles the relevant invoicing and reporting on our end. You shouldn't have to think twice about it.

For the full breakdown of how funding and plans work, the NDIS website is the best source of current, official information.

Why participants choose Physio K

We build a plan around you, not a diagnosis. Two people with the same condition can have completely different goals, routines and support needs. Before we write a single exercise, we take the time to understand your daily life, your support network, and what progress should actually look like for you.

We speak NDIS fluently. Funding categories, plan reviews, functional capacity reports.

We handle the paperwork side so you can focus on the physio side. Our team works directly with support coordinators, plan managers, and families to keep everything moving smoothly.

Self-managed, plan-managed, or NDIA-managed: we work with all of them. Wherever you sit in your plan, our invoicing, reporting and communication are set up to fit.

How NDIS Physiotherapy Can Help

Physiotherapy funded through your NDIS plan is generally about building or restoring physical function so you can participate more fully and independently in everyday life.

  • Mobility and movement programs — walking, transfers, balance and coordination work tailored to your goals

  • Strength and conditioning — building physical capacity for daily tasks, sport, or general independence

  • Neurological rehabilitation — supporting conditions such as cerebral palsy, stroke, MS, or acquired brain injury

  • Functional capacity assessments — clear, evidence-based reports to support your plan or plan review

  • Equipment and home modification guidance — recommendations on mobility aids, seating, or home set-up

  • Pain and fatigue management — practical strategies for living well with chronic conditions

  • Falls and safety support — safer movement, positioning, and transfer techniques for you and your carers

Every program is designed around your NDIS goals, and we'll always explain how a particular exercise or strategy connects back to what you're working toward.

Who we support

Our physios have experience treating the physical and functional impacts of:

  • Chronic pain and reduced mobility

  • Spinal cord injury

  • Intellectual disability

  • Complex or multiple disabilities

Condition not listed? Get in touch anyway, we treat the physical impact, not just the diagnosis.

Not sure if you're eligible?

If you (or someone you support) hasn't applied for the NDIS yet, eligibility generally depends on things like age, residency, and the nature and impact of the disability. You can check the NDIS eligibility requirements directly, or call the NDIS on 1800 800 110.

If you're already a participant but think physiotherapy might help with an upcoming plan review, our team can also support that conversation., including functional capacity assessments where relevant.

What working with us looks like

  1. Get in touch — by phone, email, or referral from your support coordinator

  2. Initial assessment — we get to know you, your goals, and your plan, in an environment that suits you

  3. Personalised plan — a treatment program built around your NDIS goals, explained in plain language

  4. Ongoing sessions — regular physiotherapy with progress tracked against your goals

  5. Reporting — clear documentation for your plan manager, support coordinator, or plan review, whenever it's needed

Ready to get started?

If you're an NDIS participant, or supporting someone who is, and want physiotherapy that's genuinely shaped around your goals, we'd love to talk it through.
